This is not going to be a coming-of-age story in which a formerly wussy persimmon discovers its own inner strength through trials undreamed-of and eventually emerges as a noble, capable persimmon who brings justice to the kingdom. That particular persimmon really is a serious wuss. Possibly the wussiest persimmon ever. It will always be a wuss.
